YOUR INFORMATION. EXPLAINED SIMPLY.

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Renewly helps you organise renewals, receive reminders and keep your records available across devices. This page explains the information involved when you use our app and website. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

1. Information we handle

Only include information you are entitled to share. Avoid adding passwords, payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information to notes or imports.

2. How information is used

We use this information to authenticate you, save and synchronise your renewals, calculate the summaries you see, deliver requested reminders, process imports, respond to support requests and maintain the reliability and security of Renewly.

Renewly records renewal costs and payment status; it does not itself make renewal payments or require payment-card details for these features.

3. Offline storage and synchronisation

The app keeps local information on your device so you can use saved renewals offline after signing in. Changes made offline may be queued and sent to the backend when you reconnect. Other devices signed into the same account can receive synchronised information.

Keep your device protected. Uninstalling the app or clearing local storage does not, by itself, delete information already synchronised to the server.

4. AI screenshot and text import

When you choose AI import, the screenshot or text you submit is sent to Renewly’s backend and an external AI provider to extract renewal details. This is not on-device-only processing.

Only submit content you are comfortable sending for processing. AI results can be incomplete or inaccurate: review them and fill any gaps before saving. Manual entry is available without using AI import. The AI provider’s own terms and retention practices also apply to processing performed by that provider.

5. Reminders and email

Depending on your preferences, reminders may be scheduled on your device or sent by email. Email delivery involves the configured email service and includes the renewal details needed for the reminder. If you provide another person’s email address, make sure you have their permission. You can manage notification preferences in the app and use unsubscribe options in reminder emails where provided.

6. Service providers and international processing

Providing Renewly involves services for Google authentication, hosting, data storage, email delivery, AI processing and operational monitoring. Those services may process relevant information to carry out their functions. Their infrastructure may be located outside your country.

For details about the providers currently used and where information is processed, contact us. We may also need to disclose information when required by applicable law or to investigate misuse and protect the service.

7. Website cookies and local settings

Our website can set session and security cookies needed for normal operation. The mobile app uses local storage for settings, offline records and session information. Browser or device controls let you clear stored information, but doing so may sign you out or remove unsynchronised changes.

8. Retention and deletion

Renewals and account information remain stored so the service can provide your account and synchronisation. Deleting a renewal removes it from the app’s active records; synchronisation records, operational logs or backups may persist separately. Logging out is not account deletion.

To request account deletion, a copy of your information, or help correcting it, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will explain any information that cannot be removed and the reason. Contact us for information about retention and backup-deletion timelines.

9. Your choices and questions

You can edit your renewal details, manage reminders and choose manual entry instead of AI import. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and complaints to a relevant privacy authority. Contact us to discuss a request.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Renewly changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes to data handling should be reflected here before they take effect.

Let’s clear it up.
